The company was established in 1978 by Mr. Khalid Al Babtain under the name of “International Paints Kuwait”. After conversion in 1998, it has been operating in its current legal form as Kuwait Paint Company K.S.C under the banner of AL-BABTAIN GROUP. It was the family business of Late Abdulmohsen Abdulaziz Al Babtain who had established Abdulmohsen Abdulaziz Al Babtain Co. (AABC) in 1948, as one of the pioneers in Spare Parts importers and distributors in the State of Kuwait. Thanks to the idea of the Babtain Brothers who were armed with knowledge, competence, and a meticulous businessmen started manufacturing paints for domestic use.
With headquarters in Shuwaikh, Subhan Industrial Area, Kuwait Paint Company (KPC) was established by AL-BABATAIN GROUP, with the vision to create a leadership position for “KPC High Quality Paints” and supply to meet both corporate and individual needs for protective and decorative purposes in the ever-developing markets in the Middle East.
Today KPC is amongst the top companies in paints and coatings in the Middle East, with a particularly strong base in Kuwait.
The business continued 20 years in its same shape and size till 2003. After 2003 the company was transformed from family business to professionally managed business by appointing specialized personnel.
